Sorry about the lack of news lately, it seems as though the first month after the holidays goes for a couple of days. Anyway the new year is well on the way and the big news for all of us is that Mafia 2 is getting closer by the day. While we have no "official" release date we have a great deal of unofficial ones; most of these point to a release before mid year.

In the lead up to the release we want to keep you all updated on what is happening, we will be using the front page here (you are reading it now!), the forums and finally our twitter account (@Mafiascene). We would really like your help. So if you see some news and think it deserves to be on the main page of the site you can send a PM to el_chippo or myself with a link to the information and we will post it.

Finally some news on the site upgrade, we are still a fair way off returning to 100% functionality and we ask you to stay calm and please remain patient.

In the final news post of the decade I have to let everyone know that the Christmas hunt prize has again gone unclaimed. We have had a few people get close but no one gets rewarded for getting close, we have very high standards here at mafiascene.

Moving on from official news I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas/Holiday period and spent time with friends and family, drank and ate too much and generally had a jolly good time. Tonight the decade that has changed the world so very much will come to an end, everyone get out and enjoy the night. In something that relates a great deal to everyone here we are entering our second decade as Mafia lovers and the next year will see our love rewarded with a sequel. Lets hope it lives up to the first.

Anyway enough of my chatting, have a great end to a massive decade from all of us here at mafiascene, see you all in the new year!

Once again we have decided to organise some Christmas fun for everyone here at Mafiascene, because that's how much we care. There is no Christmas theme this year, not yet anyway. But again we have taken to hiding presents around the site, they once again look like this:

There are five in total (the one above does not count). There is also a hiding santa somewhere, if you find him you will recieve so much Christmas joy you won't be able to carry it in a wheelbarrow! Unfortunatly this year there is no prize (unless you have steam and no copy of HL2!). We will reveal the hiding places around the 25th.

If you have found all five present plus our hiding santa you can claim victory by personal messaging any member of staff!

The staff want to thank everyone for their patience while we (well one of us) gets the site back up to it's full glory. For those of you wondering when that will be we are going to use the Duke Nukem Forever release date answer "It will be done when it's done".

Please excuse the rather barren look of the site at the moment. Our recent server change and site upgrades has left us looking a little bare . However, over the coming months we'll be working hard to put everything back into order, downloads, gallery and so on.
