Lightmaps were left for last. It was also better to work on smaller scene file (dced didn't crash that much). It obviously looks better with lightmaps:
Also MWE has problems with generating lms on some surfaces (it is possible to manualy fix them in hex but man doing it manualy...)
It is possible to change amount of cash you get from killing gangsters by editing exe, there are few more scene2.bin objects that "do something", it is possible to change traffic density without asi plugins.
Like I said this mod is canceled. Nothing has been done here. Before I left I have converted check points from original missions, renamed every object inside scene2.bin, moved everything that doesn't require player interaction to cache. Water is leveled throughout whole countryside, there's no "cheap" insertion of scene.4ds from countryside. I had some railroads done in temp files but can't find them anymore. I managed to make NPCs return from panic state (visible on bertone clip). As far as I can tell it hasn't been done in any mission. Maybe there's something more but I don't remember anymore. |

Do you remember what these issues were? I'd like to document them and maybe look into them at some point.

That sounds great!
So, to pick up my earlier comment, what are your thoughts on releasing your work so someone else could pick it up and continue from there maybe? It definitely feels bad to let it go to waste.

This is amazing! Does anyone know how duelist extracted the PS2 .dat files?? I would like to make some cool mods with the PS2 countryside part. |
