Hello,
I working on my new mod for Mafia. Smile
My goal is make old ruined haunted city with abandoned subway, graveyard, catacombs (maybe ghosts) etc...
I using some models from GTA titles.

Damn, I have problem with lightmaps and lights. Cautious

I can't use lightmaps or lights on inserted objects via "scene2.bin"
Simply I can't click on "Bitmap" or "Vertex" button and "Build" not working.


But on object in "scene.4ds" I can click...and it works.


So, I must convert "scene2.bin" objects to "scene.4ds" or there's another way?

Wait wait... I don't understand. You can't lightmap the models why again? If they are converted to 4ds from some other game there shouldnt be a problem right..?

I can't lightmap models in "scene2.bin" even original models from Mafia.
But if I put them in "scene.4ds" in zmodeler it works, but it's much slower...

You need to go to object selection mode which selects the sub-objects within the .4ds file. Wink
For the old MWE it is ctrl+S, for the new MWE I believe it is pressing and holding Y or I and clicking on the model.

In the properties window you can see if you have an object selected within the model. E.G. an object selected within "model.4ds" will appear as "object.model" or something like that.

Images look fantastic, I already love the atmosphere. Very happy

Subway has now lights. Sticking out tongue (Thanks to Mr Robville)
Btw, how can I convert map to "night mode"? (not only backdrop) i tried add "game_nightmission 1" to "gameinitstart", but nothing happened.

Game_nightmission 1 only turns on car lights. To make it night you have to tweak all the lights individually.
For this mission I assume you have very few lights aside from an ambient light, so the ambient light should visually affect the scene the most when changed. Look in a night mission from the game to see what colour to change it to.
