I see why you are proposed that the program MWE add the lightmap solution. Than I would fail the mission complex modified Freeride when try open the folder in new 0.3.0.7. MWE. Only the older version 0.2.9. can solve correctly therefore I use this for work. But the older version does not have this capability yet. Apart from running perfectly the game, but only two at a time if you do not want to force it to glowing textures transparent on one another. That was the problem. Glowing texture many times I used the buses and city night lights advertisements and such, but at the same time not be use too much to display them in order to run the game properly. I use win7 and maybe my hungarian version of it is not able to use correctly the new MWE somehow. Naturally i used every compatibility check and got priority in every situation but any scripted mission of our mod can cause dead end for this program. Confused

Happy New Year!
The good news is that MadestBob joined us and now he gave trolley buses to the Ikarus mod. Thumbs up (left) He is the author of trolley mod and will help in modelling and scripting.
Also joining us FCVP71 old acquaintance who will produce better textures.

Ikarus mod 3.0 project is almost finished. I've said it last time but fortunately a new project has borned.: ) So the progress is almost done after that we can inject the whole mod into City night.: ) It takes time time but it's a great news that the mod progress is 90% done.

Dear Mafiascene Administrators!

My friend Neutral and I would like to thank you because all of the Ikarus mod's (v1,v2,v2.5(patch)and menju's pack)
is ALL AVAIBLE in the download section! Wink

This is a fantastic thing for a developer...
Anyway let's talk about the mod:

We've got a letter from a kind person who loves Ikarus mod and asking for release date.
I would like to say some words about this.
In my last post I told that the mod progress is 90% done. When the Freeride DAY section is finished we're gonna inject it to NIGHT because all of the Ikarus mod versions are includes night version too so we want to keep this option as usual. Everyone know that mafia modding is real heavy and it takes time. So Ikarus mod 3.0 is NOT going to be released in the upcoming future. BUT the scripts and models are already done so we "only" use COPY/PASTE function to make the process faster. And fortunately it's not enough for us we're planning a little new project for Countryside too.
So please be patient about the release date, because our GOAL is to make a good mod and time for everyone while playin' it.
In our plan we think over and over again that the mod can be finished in this year but don't know exactly which month.

So please be patient! Wink

Indeed, we were already finishing a lot of things for freeride mission. The night mission in turn causes problems but sooner or later succeed in all of them. We try out new things during the work as well, as you can see in the screenshots. Not sure that it will be successful but it is not based on the old tram, but a new principle works so yourselves will drive the train. MadestBob also goes nicely with the trolley and wires, have been plying in the city. When he send his finished work then of course I will show pictures of it. Very happy

Of course the Suburban Railway includes a new route to pickup peoples and it's kind of a mission like the Bus Routes in earlier versions.
It's a demo we're going to try to inject the rail line to countryside because in the city we have a lot of new features since Ikarus mod 2.0 and it's better looks in the countryside.

So this is our plan for Countryside Wink

As Neutral told, new pictures are coming soon after MadestBob finishes the trolley wire models.

Good news are not enough, because Ikarus mod 3.0 script progress is 97% done.
All the new features that we want is finished. Now only one or two things are left and we can optimalize the scene2.bin and if it's done the mod progress for CITY-DAY is finished.

The mod progress looks like this:

City Day = 97% (only a few things and optimalize the scene2.bin)
City night = 0% (if we finished day we can "just" copy and paste into night)
Countryside day = 0% (We're working on it and then headed to night)
Countryside night = 0% (If the day is finished we can copy and paste into night)
City small = DISABLED (We have to do that because the new bus route is too long and it's crossed over Chinatown)

By the way: We're waiting for MadestBob to get the trolley wires.Smile
AND A BIG THANKS FOR MYTUSS because he made a wonderful new menu for Ikarus mod 3.0!

Nice one mates! I play 2.0 with pleasure and I really like it. I have a question, 'bout the cars - Are you thinking of adding more? I'm from ex-socialism country too and I know there were Moskvichs, ZAZs and etc. Keep going, you're making something totally great. Very happy
