Converting JPEG to .i3d file

Looking to replace some of the paintings in game with photos of my own. Has anyone attempted something like this? Trying to go from a jpeg to .i3d or 4ds. Thanks for any help.

First of all you need to convert your .jpegs to .bmp or .tga as Mafia/LS3D doesn't have a JPEG decoder.

Once you've done that open the .4ds files that correspond to the paintings you want to replace with 4ds Manager to inspect their material lists and find the diffuse textures they use. Finally replace the referenced .bmp/.tga files with your versions.
