I have just watched another preview on preview
build by Gameriot and found out you can shoot
from a drivers position but it looks like you shoot
through the windscreen which makes no sense

not going to embed this.

That is something I do fear as well. I've watched a bit from the chase scene from the first mission. The player was chased by 3 cars (?!) and repeatedly shook them off by driving through a scripted roadside construction site which repeatedly played the same animation. I can't tell if that guy simply has no imagination and simply did what the developers want him to (which is unfortunately what most games cater to) or if this is truly the only way to shake them off.

I have to agree there, the scripted road works used to escape
is like a kid being taught to ride a bicycle with stablizers. Sarcastic

FFS in the original game you used your initiative and maneuvered
the vehicle down alleyways, swerving round streetcars. Also going
towards oncoming traffic and swerving just in time to see your
pursuers crash. Plus it didn't take bloody ages to get to Salieri's.

I can concur on that one. It would be better if they gave the player more control over the game than railroad us into things Call of Duty-style.

Is it time for the Definitive Edition to get a dedicated sub forum yet?

Found some speculative PC requirements, take them with a grain of salt.

Edit: turns out theyre just Mafia 3 specs

No! This thread/topic has already been made a sticky.
Plus although this DE is a remake it is still Mafia

Once the game is released the "COMING SOON"
can be removed.

Slowly warming up to 'DE' , should give a good look into what is the best game of the series and put that discussion to bed.

Definitely a win win if they hit it out of the park, should bring us Mafia IV some day, which I can only speculate would be H13's best game yet, since it seems they listen to fans after all, I really think a lot of potential is there for a great game, but that's for another time..

Yes there's tons of things I like to nitpick and would have changed, but in truth I think we're given the best case scenario here, if anything it will be the most modded game.

Yeah I have to agree that the original
soundtrack was a lot better especially
the part when Sam is walking towards
Tommy's taxi; with the heart beat it
certainly built up the tension.

Nice one Patryk

Here's hoping someone would do a classic BGM mod once the game releases.

Edit: turns out theyre just Mafia 3 specs

My computer is:
- MSI H110M PRO-VD PLUS motherboard
- INTEL Core i3-7100 3.90GHz 1151 processor
- KINGMAX 4GB DDR4 2400MHz CL17 RAM
- ASUS PH-RX550-4G-M7 RX 550 4GB GDDR5 Phoenix PCIE video card
- plenty of free space on HDD
- 64 bit Windows 8.1 system

Is my specs enough for the new Mafia? Thinking

This probably is pure guess work as the
game has not been released but you
could try this Game Debate Mafia Def Ed

This was what I got on ultra settings in 4K
Mind you this is at 30FPS. Hopefully the game
will allow probably after a patch to unlock
the FPS rate to allow for higher. As I said
though this is purely guess work I think on
behalf of Game Debate; actual specs should
be released much nearer to release on 25th
September.

for my computer specs see this

It's a guess, but I think you would be able to run on lower settings at 1080p. The biggest bottleneck there is the GPU.

Surely after the Mafia 3 backlash, this definitive edition will be 60fps or more on PC. Worst case, as a later patch.

So I jumped the gun and pre-ordered the game. What I'm hoping however is that the formats aren't changed much from Mafia 3 (or at least the Definitive re-release) so that we could come up with at least a few mods for M1DE.

Okay, but I run my "everything" in 1024×768 resolution, so... I don't want much, basically if the game is stable near 30 fps with good settings, that's enough for me. Smile
Unlike most gamers, I'm fine if any game is stable around 30 fps with good settings, I don't feel any more could worth to try (at least for me). Wink
