Hi! I'm newbie 3D modeler and I think to create more detailed 3D buildings models from Mafia I. Do You know If there is a catalog with all 3D models from Mafia I where I can easily find specific models ? I found Mafia World Editor but I can't see any option like that. Maybe someone from mafia-scene modder can help me ? |

It's wonderful you would like to create new models for mafia 1. Look forward to seeing new buildings. Could you please share with the newbies your progress, as well as instruction on how you make what you make. |

Hello ! I want to share with some photos of progress. I've made already 3 models. First is almost finished. It is my first model - simple building stright from the Mafia 1. I'm learing on it about texturing and adding materials, so here is a result:
the next ones are not from Mafia 1 game, I've made research and I have found nice 1920's pictures of buildings in New York archives. So, they have mafia look and climat and I decided to make it.
Market from New York with butchers supplies and restaurant For this one I have question: 21.000 tris for building model (including lamp and roofed construction at the back of the building) is not too much?

You are quite talented. The textures applied to the building are wonderful, as well as the building models themselves. The references are spot on for the time period, I can see those buildings in mafia already. In fact, the big brownstone would look wonderful on the street leading to Lost Heaven racing circuit. Would you mind telling us what programs you used to model and texture with please? Again great work, look forward to more. One final question have you tried to install them in the game yet. |

Thank You Guys for kind words! Some small progress: a city light from 30's New York (based on photos). Model is finished, so maybe in near future I'll try to implement it in to Mafia II, but for now I'm focusing on moddeling. Newto: I'm using Blender 2.81 for moddeling and texturing.
I'm using detailed High poly model to bake normal maps and textures to low poly.
Low poly model have 2,000 Tris, is it ok for games ?
