That is exactly what it is, the room from the
main menu - just move around press E to
change the music. Total waste of time tbth
as there is no way to find out how gameplay
would be. _________________

It looks real nice, but yeah, there is little to no gameplay. No many people have attempted to remake Mafia due to its massive scale. Though I would pay just to see the first level of the game remade. |

For just one scene the file size is very big at 1.47GB.
Mafia in its entirety without mods is approximately
1.8GB - The remake in Unreal would be mega
unless they could compress to a manageable
install size.
Edit:
Just did some searching and this is not
new. A remake in Unreal4 had been planned
around 2015/16 there is a video of Salieri's
Bar somewhere on YT. _________________

This I think is it. I posted this in another topic awhile back. Mr. Robville pointed out that this uses default UE4 shaders. It doesn't looks really that impressive and is a very small demo where you can only walk around.
Dan Vavra posted on Twitter a while ago that he admired how Spiderman PS4 accurately recreated New York City and the idea of sharing assets across multiple games using the same city with different devs, and then expressed subtle interest in doing a remake of Mafia. The sad part however is that he doesn't own the franchise anymore. If he really wanted to do so, Warhorse could buy the IP from 2K/Hanger 13, since its more than clear that they don't plan to do anything productive with the Mafia IP.
