trunks on back of car

Would it be possible to use the trunk or rumble seat of car model to store chains to be used to create dust to get rid of the law while being chased? then attach it somehow? this was a trick used by bootleggers of long ago, they also used many hidden compartments and other tricks i would love to model into a car model for a mission mod.
