How it will be better the new version ?
Only the original Mafia types of cars and other vehicles should not be included in (eg. Buses, commercial vehicles). In order to remaining the walkthrough of the original game.

Here is for you the latest RCF 1.6 EXTENDED mod ( unfinished and buggy edition ).
This package includes the previously released full version of RCF 1.6.1., but it expands upon the earlier version of the mod by adding new vehicles, gas stations, buildings, advertisements, neons and more.
Please use this mod at your own risk, I released it that my time is over now and will start an other non mafia project nearby future.
Sorry, but I'll could not give more help to it, because tried to fix every bug without any success for a long time. Impossible
Temporarily here is a link to download until the staff will upload it to the site download section.
Please read the inbuilt readme carefully and start game with lower amount of vehicles, pedestrians, police men.

Thank you very much for all you have done for us Neutral. It was a wonderful experience seeing this mod grow and grow with such love and detail.

Although I'm a little saddened development has ended, I'm glad we get to have such an amazing mod to make Mafia so much better. Good luck on your future project man!

EDIT: If its ok with you, perhaps you could make your project open source on Github so others can help finish it up.

(Sorry this is late, college took up my time)

Your work will always have a special place in my heart Neutral. I remember seeing this mod grow and evolve back when it was v1.5. Even though development is ceased, I'm glad it happened in the end. Here is to hoping someone else will take the reigns for this mod someday.

He stated a while ago that the mod's development has ceased due to lack of time, development difficulties, and the desire to move on to different projects, that being some of the reasons he released the unfinished extended version. He may come back to it if he gets the opportunity, but I believe its safe to say development has ended for now at least.

hello guys. Indeed, the mod cannot be continued for the time being, because in the absence of a scripter, it is not possible to solve the ideas that still remain in my head. Plus, I’ve already overloaded the LS3D’s engine, you can’t keep up with this limited memory usage with size / texture reductions so it stays beautiful.
The other reason is that the mafia DE version has become just as beautiful as the beautiful city I aspired to based on contemporary photos and movies, just as the cars are beautiful and age-appropriate in it. (a bit like my request was listened to by the developers ) Applause
Unfortunately, this could never have been done in the old version, although the old freeride still leads, because here we can travel by tram and high rail.
One thing they couldn’t solve either, the huge amount of pedestrians that the old pictures show, it seems we have to wait for this ability more than “ray tracing” - shading because even modern PCs can’t stand it.

Dear Neutral, I have a question : any chance that your mod is compatible with the water shader mod? If I copy all your mod files over a mafia installation that already has that mod installed it will work without problems? Or graphical bugs / glitches like missing water or green water are gonna happen? I've just copied the maps and the models folder over my mafia installation but some windows with reflections on buildings are not perfecty placed and/or aligned, is that normal? Thanks for your patience!

The water shader mod fundamentally changes the structure of the game, allowing for a more modern look that wasn’t originally in the mafia. Because of this, it can also be a problem if you only install it on all base games without a mod, because there can be a lot of differences between the language versions and the 1.0 or 1.1 (1.2) patched LS3D files. This was a fantastic mod originally created in a Russian environment, but it also caused us a lot of trouble with the Ikarus mod, which we attached for its beauty, but we attached all the LS3DF.dll to all three LS3D game variants. This became chaos, because even by me it is just e.g. city-daytime seemed works well but not at night (empty green river), plus it decreases fps thoroughly. Because of this the players flooded us with requests for help, but unfortunately we couldn’t give them ideas on behalf of its mod developer (mr.F).
It’s good that you asked, because it will make it easier for everyone to interpret, reccomended to use this amazing water shader mode installed on a basic mafia ( no mods ) purely. It is not advisable to mix it with other modes.
However, if you still want to mix it with anything, backup this working state of files somewhere, and then last try to copy the new desired any mode ower so watching hardly that every files could remain under from the water shader mod, but success is not guaranteed either unfortunately. Impossible

If I understand the situation, didn’t you copy the mission files from the RCF to the root of the mafia?
The RCF 1.6 "extended" mod no longer includes not only vehicles like the basic RCF 1.6, but also edited urban/rural maps into which individual buildings, advertisements, gas stations, etc. were added, so I built these models under his own name.
I already attached a "mission" library to the basic 1.6, but there I had to replace the original cars with the new ones due to the transition videos and missions, garage, but I haven't changed the building yet, but the mission files are newly done!
So as the attached "readme" in any mod usually requires that copy the "all" directories in the package one by one to the "empty" root of the mafia one by one to then everything should work. You must do that too.
This is because each mod contains elements designed together, so they only work well together.
Because of the name matches in the libraries, if you shuffle modes, they will always overwrite each other’s things and become chaos. You can mix modes, of course, but only modders can highlight the elements you want in all their contexts and recombine them with the other author’s stuff without any problems.
The water-shader mod also includes a mission directory, if you want to install the RCF mod on it, they will overwrite each other and one will already be faulty because it can't find its assigned stuff. This has happened to you too, unfortunately either be one or the other, you have to decide.
For example, to understand that both modes have a "freeride" directory in the "mission" directory and we use a "scene2.bin" file in both modes, so which one overwrites the other?
If "scene2.bin" from the RCF remains after overwriting, the water-shader mod's river will not work during the day in the freeride, but the RCF will work fine.
But if RCF was installed first and you rewrite it with water-shader's "scene2.bin", then the river works nicely in the daytime city, but the RCF mod elements disintegrate, the new buildings don't show up at all, some new models with original model name from the basic mafia maybe remain. (In the Ikarus Mod we were checked all files and this is why we attached the water-shader mod for like an optional accessory.)
So use the modes on your own and you won’t have a problem, but don’t confuse them with each other unless you know they won’t overwrite each other anywhere.
