I recently purchased a copy of Mafia
and installed it today, no probs with
installation. Had to use a no cd fix
because Securom games will not run
on Windows 10.
Game starts OK no problem and I
create a new profile. Start game and
go through first few missions until
I get to the first one you have to learn
to steal from Ralphie (Mission Ordinary Routine)
After he shows me how to get into the car
I try by using the action button - BUT
Tommy keeps saying "I doubt I can get into
this one!" or "I've never seen this lock before!"
Also any cars that I did have e.g. the blue
Falconer Ralphie says that he sorted out
what I brought him and I look and where the
fark is it; the car is not there. _________________

No idea, sorry.
If you think it might be the no-cd somehow (maybe a trainer that also messed with the cars) you can always image the CD and load it on a virtual drive. I prefer to do that usually. But I've never heard of this being a problem. |

If I replied with "You're not going to believe this...blah blah blah!"
After all my plans to run Mafia v1.0 with all the damage to cars
and all the cars included those that were removed after patch
1.1 and also the ability to set the sniper mode without having
to reset it every time I start the game — well doh!!! I had to
patch the game oh well at least it works though it's a pity
I can't run the original version. Oh and I looked at some ISO image
creation software and not really wanting to install anything that forces
bloatware and useless browser crap tbth - unless you can suggest
one. _________________

Oh, that's a 1.1 bug? Ouch. It's been so long since I've run 1.0 I've forgotten these details.
Personally I use a really old version of Alcohol 120%. Not by design or anything, it just works and I never bothered to update it after 2008. And yes, it kindly offers the "Alcohol Toolbar" to me during installation just in case I want that
Hard to say though. You change enough environment variables like drivers, hardware and OS and some games just start to fall apart a little bit as all their corrections and optimization hacks stop working as intended. It's **** brutal how backwards compatibility has been forgotten the last decade or so. You now need three computers to run a diverse age of games... |
