can't Change Graphics Problem

Hello everyone!

Can please someone explain me this?

So I open the setup file to change the graphics for the game, I press save and exit. I launch the game and it always runs in something like 800x600 resolution. I try to change to any of the resolutions, but there are no ingame changes. I have full hd monitor, don't know if it supports it but still. I think that all the other graphic options also don't work. Please help me with this. I can't find any topics about this game because it is too old.
My all time favorite game wanted to play again, btw what is the maximum resolution you can play this game on?

I have windows 10, no mods added to the game, it is cracked (not original)
