Hi,
I have worked in Zmodeler 107.b for years and find it the easiest
way to mod cars for Mafia 1. I also have Zmodeler 2 but found it
much harder to work in and the plug-ins for Mafia do not exist
in it. I would be more than happy to help anyone who wishes to
build or modify Mafia cars in Zmod 1. My only contention is that
you be patient, as I am not on the Internet as much as I use to be.

Cars huh?
How About .....cable cars?
I have been fussing with changing the Tram /Street Car model into a cable car with not a lot of success ( I am not much of a modeler
Is that something you would be interested in doing?
If not that's okay I'll futz it out eventually |

The file for the Cable Cars is called "metro.4ds". It can be converted to Z3d. via
4ds UnLocker. |

I think that's the train, the trolleycar/tram is 'salina.4ds'
MafiaMan9mm if you're busy I'm happy to give it a try in 3DS Max - I don't know what modelling program you work with besides ZModeler?
And I agree - 1.07b is hard to get hold of but it easily the best version.
By the looks of things Matteo, the stuff that needs altering (besides the texture if you wanted to) is the size of the entrance, sliding arround the mechanics underneath, extending the step and getting rid of the metal connector rods on top (highlighted a few of those things in the screenshot below).

And one other issue, the seats in a cable car are in the middle facing out in the open section
Not looking for an exact duplicate as there a dozens of styles of Cable cars in San Francisco...no one model......so a close approximation is what I am aiming for. The wheels although more forward towards the ends on the cable cars usually, are not a huge deal for me
After all, I am not building the Titanic |

My apologies Matteo, it turns out the export script (custom written) for .4ds models coming out of 3DS Max corrupts the model, so this might well be a job for MafiaMan9mm.
It did give me some interesting results though

No problem with the orientation....that can easily be fixed. You can import
3DS format into Zmodeler 107b. What is needed is a photo or textures
that you want to see on the model. But, I am still at a loss for what you
want...the Trolley or the Train car???? I have Studio 3D from Autodesk
....but it is much harder to work with .4ds whereas Zmodeler is so much
more simple. If you want to send me a 3ds model, I will send you a
