like a few months ago, i wanted to see if my pc could handle GTA IV, so i borrowed it from a housemate.
but i gave up after the installation when i saw how secured it was, there was no way i could install it..
it's already registered on the net (i wonder what happens if his pc blows up or goes up into flames) so i can't enter the serial provided with the game.
there are no cracks, no serials or anything, and if there's a crack, i heared that if it works, your screen goes like ''drunken mode''
so i hate it that i can't test the game before buying it (theres no demo) but rockstar did a great job on preventing pirates.
the only thing that keeps me awake is that your forced to have internet on your pc.
what if my modem has problems? like it does now? no games, no games indeed.
even some games like the orange box games won't even start up when you don't have any connection at all (after installing)
but steam is a exeption

Game Developer company always complain there spending to much on making games, but they don't realize there paying like 1Grand on these anti-crack stuff, when the game gets cracked either way. There just wasting there money on it, when they can be saving a whole lot from cutting it from there budget.
