MattyDienhoff's Mafia Car Guide

As a little 'interest' fact, the Cord (Thor) 812S of 1937 was the most sought-after model of the Cord Car Company. It was capable of doing 96km/h (60mph) in ject 13 seconds and it's top speed was around 160km/h (100mph)!

Another 'interesting' fact, only 26 Duesenburg (Trauntenburg) SJ's were ever made in it's original form. It's top speed was higher than the Cord's, at a whopping 208km/h (130mph). It could accelerate to 96km/h (60mph) in just 10 seconds. That's fast enough to rival many modern speedsters!

Okay.

Big update! :D

Sorry i've been so slack lately, but i've finally added the Thor 812, the Silver Fletcher and the Bruno Speedster. And all the details and notes for each. 8o

And thanks for the facts FastestSnailEva, I probably won't use them in the guide because i've yet to find a good way to incorporate a "The Real Car" section into the design, but interesting reading anyway. So thanks. :)

MattyDienhoff's Mafia Car Guide

Postby Fruffles » Wed Jul 04, 2007 5:01 pm

Matty tells me that he's going to be finishing off his car guide sometime soon. So I thought I'd nudge it up so that others can read through it and have fun.

Fruffles speaks the truth. Since my interest in Mafia has rekindled, like I knew it would eventually, now is the perfect time to get back to work on this project. Besides, it's been bothering me that I never really finished it. :>(

So this project is officially resumed. In fact, early this morning I added:

Carrozella C-Otto 4WD
Caesar 8C 2300 Racing
Caesar 8C Mostro

See the first post for the additions.

I have nottice two mistakes with the car in MAFIA

1. Silver Fletcher - in MAFIA seems is the one of top car but is many on streets LH. In real world the company sells ony 5 pcs in hole world ! And the engine of this car is incredible 15,6 litre. Is the greatest engine ever build USA motor company.

2. Trautenberg model J - in the game is J ver. but in real live looks like SJ ver.

That tips give mi loony from mafiapage.com community.

Yeah, Illusion didn't entirely stick to the facts with the cars. As you'll notice some car's doors open the wrong way (like the Mercedes 500K), and obviously luxury cars of all types are far too common for a city in the midst of an economic depression.

Ah well, nothing's perfect.
