Perfomance Issues with the demo?

Since the demo came out, a lot of people have been experiencing performance trouble, some even on systems that should be able to run the game on maximum settings. A lot of people have noticed that disabling PhysX can cure these problems, so over at physxinfo.com they’ve been poking around the PhysX settings and have found ways to disable certain parts of it (civilian clothing for example) while leaving other parts on so they can be enjoyed and still give a respectable framerate. It worked for me, 35fps with apex set to high. I removed every file that referenced to citizens in “\edit\APEX\Cloth\” folder.

Snap only vito needs apex in my opinion so he now only has it and i can run mafia II maxed out and apex on high at 30-40 fps, awesome!

I found that most of the time I could run it on full settings at a decent frame rate with my GTX275 and only 2 gigs of ram, but right in front of the house my frame rate got pretty low. Still playable, but low. Oddly enough other crowded areas didn’t have the same problem. Maybe it’s the grass.
